About Affiliated Builders Group
Affiliated Builders Group (ABg) isn’t your typical buying group—it’s a highly selective, performance-driven cooperative of premier home builders dedicated to excellence. Our members are not just builders—they’re trusted professionals committed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, financial integrity, and community presence. This exclusivity ensures every member is equally invested in the group’s success, driving serious commitment, accountability, and results.
With full-time representatives immersed in local markets, ABg delivers tailored pricing, service, support, and training on par with national competitors. That localized knowledge, combined with the collective volume purchasing power of our members, creates genuine cost savings and enhanced profitability—giving builders a competitive edge to perform on levels with both regional and national homebuilding companies.
Our Story
The idea for ABg was born in 2006, when founders Todd Waddle and Hai Bui—then bankers working closely with residential home builders—recognized a critical gap in the industry. Many independent builders were market leaders in their own right, but without the sheer volume of larger regional and national companies, they couldn’t negotiate the same competitive pricing.
Drawing on Todd’s background in industrial distribution and Hai’s expertise in residential construction finance, the two created Affiliated Builders Group: a cooperative designed to lower material costs, increase profitability, and level the playing field for independent builders.
Since 2007, ABg has expanded into multiple markets, growing its footprint as the leading independent home builder buying group in the nation. More markets are currently being established or targeted for expansion, supported by a dedicated staff of 13 employees serving our members. ABg continues to align builders with suppliers committed to eliminating cost redundancies and process inefficiencies from the traditional relationship.
With a strong focus on market growth and eliminating unnecessary costs, ABg members enjoy a distinct advantage over similarly sized competitors—while leveling the playing field against large regional and national builders. We remain proud to represent the best independent home builders across the country.

ABg has positively impacted the net profitability of Rodrock Homes by leveraging the volume of the group. We view ABg as an extension of our in-house purchasing department. The result has been twofold: a reduction in overhead costs that typically are associated with purchasing and better pricing on our products. In our market, the pricing that ABg has delivered to us is something we could not have done on our own.
Partnering with ABg has been a significant benefit to our business. ABg’s ability to negotiate terms and purchase materials leveraging the buying group has given us the ability to compete more effectively with other large homebuilders.
